Object Description Written on board: "Massachusetts. / Capt. John Gardner who commanded one of the Salem companies at battle of Haverhill Aug. 29, 1708 took this spoon, a tomahawk, bow, several arrows, and a pipe from Ind. he killed that day. Essex Inst. Hist. Coll."
