Object Description
Written on board: Nicaragua / Human foot-prints in Tufa, near Lake Managua, Nicaragua, 16 ft. from surface, several strata of volcanic materials above the foot-prints ("There has been no eruption within the historic period at this place") In one of the layers above the human foot-prints some fossil leaves were found which will be analyzed to determine whether they belong to the present flora of the region. / Foot steps in lava - Nicaragua - Negs. and originals in Peabody Museum.
