Object Description Written on board: Peru / The great wall of Peru, discovered by the Shippee - Johnson / Peruvian Expedition, Santa Valley, central Peru - Wall runs / for fifty miles or so inland from the coast, is guarded / on both sides by forts - some circular, some rectangular, some / of adobe, some of uncut stones cemented with mud. / Gift of A. M. Tozzer.
