Object Description
Written on board: Gansu / Tibet [crossed out] / Gift of Harrison Forman / The Explorers Club / New York City / Tibetans, laymen as well as clergy / all carry rosaries which are fingered / constantly. As each bead passes through / the fingers the mystic "Om mani padme / hum" is uttered. Usually the rosary consists / of 108 beads- suggested by the 108 volumes / of the KAN-DYUR, the Tibetan Bible or / Canon.
