Object Description
Plains shield, possibly Sioux. Probably a medicine shield. Rawhide base w/ painted buckskin cover. Design on cover of a black bison w/ red lightning(?) coming out of his head, a blue moon, 2 stars, a spotted cat & a blue and black thunderbird. Hawk feathers attached. 56.8x57 cm.
