Object Description Pipe of catlinite and wood in two segments: long wooden stem and catlinite bowl. Stem is distinguished in two sections: the half nearest the mouth opening is oval-shaped and wrapped with a continuous strip of woven reed (white, purple, green, red). The half nearest the bowl is round and smooth with two rings of tacks as decoration. Point where stem shape changes is wrapped with string binding a lock of (horse?) hair dyed orange. 57.75 cm. (length); 8.25 x 3 cm. (depth x diameter of bowl).
