Indigenous Term Ipu hula or Paipu
Object Description Double calabash hula drum, with dark blue or black designs. The drum is composed of two attached gourds, both decorated. At the juncture between the two gourds a bark cloth loop, also decorated with black design, is attached on one side. The top gourd has a sounding hole in its natural base.
