Ipu hula or Paipu
Object Description
Double calabash "hula" drum. The drum is composed of two attached, undecorated gourds with a cloth carrying loop at one side of the juncture. At the juncture, the drum has two filled in holes, probably mistakes in the placement of the handle. The top gourd has a sounding hole in what was its natural base.
