Object Description
Drum, "mokos". Hourglass shaped drum--broken in half by merchants. Surface designs in low relief of dragon-like and wild animals, florals and leaves. Top half has four handles on sides. Twined wood string on one handle attached to thin copper skin on top. Two outer rings and three in the middle are etched on top. Mokos are 100-150 years old. Made largely in Southeast Java. Trade pieces for supplies.
