Object Description Shawl of warp-faced 1-1 plainweave with ikat dyed design of small indistinct plant and cross(?) forms arranged in narrow stripes, separated by a few plain white warps. At each end warps are used to form thick fringed border of knotted lace, with woven and embroidered(?) areas. In center of fringe lace is an eagle holding arrows and olive branches(?) in claws; at either side flowers. Two weft selvages. Warp: cotton, (z-2s), 64 epcm. Weft: cotton, (z-2s), 13 epcm.
