Object Description
Mantle fragments; 1-1 plainweave brown cotton (warp?: z-2s, 14 epcm.; weft?: z-2s, 12 epcm.), completely covered with stem stitch embroidery, depicting "Oculate Being", a large eyed smiling feline with head appendage ending in trophy head and holding another trophy head. Design: parallel lines of dark green, dark blue, yellow, on red ground (all camelid (z-2s)). Thirty-one squares (each 8 x 8 cm.), arranged checkerboard fashion on plainweave mantle.
