Object Description
Cradlehood. Multi-colored, quilled (bird), leather (buffalo) hood. Hood edge has colorful beaded border. Small red feathers decorate hood sides and are attached to tips of eight fringes with metal clips. Fringe appendage hangs over top of hood. The inside is lined with green calico cloth. The bag's bottom is military canvas or muslin. Original tag says: "Pappoose Bag - Dakotah worn G.F.B. Nov. 16, 1885."
