Object Description
Burnham storm pattern rug, probably made by Margaret Cody. Pictorial rug with a gray field with a central tan storm pattern outlined in white; in central square a brown field with a six sided Yei head or mask, white above and turquoise below the eyes, with black eyes and mouth, yellow and red lines running down under the eyes, with three white-tipped black feathers on top of head and white-tipped black feather element extending from side of head near the top, and red-tipped turquoise earrings. Each corner of the storm pattern has a similar Yei head or mask, with one white feather on top and black-tipped white feathers at side-top. In gray field at each side of central storm pattern is a Yei figure with square white head, black eyes, mouth and hair, red-tipped turquoise[see Object Description text entry for extended description]
