Object Description
Mummy mask; pad of unspun cotton wrapped in a) pice of heavy open 1-1 plainweave (25 x 30 cm.); four selvages; and b) piece of fine open 1-1 plainweave brown cotton (30 x 30 cm.), four selvages; backed with another open 1-1 plainweave white cotton. The two fabrics are stitched together at one end. Between the two layers, red camelid, weft fringe and a fringe of human hair. Second fringe of human hair laid across the tip. Hair folded over cotton cord, secured with a bound lattice weave of cotton cords.
