Object Description
Stepped corner with reverse diagonal rows of birds woven with discontinuous wefts. Double layer. 1 warp and 1 weft selvage. Design woven with discontinuous sets of 3 wefts: pink, yellow, green, black camelid (z-2s) and white cotton (z-2s). 2 identical corners woven separately on half the warps,reverse sides, with floats are concealed between the 2 layers. Sewn to 1-2 plainweave of cotton: warp, (z-2s), 20 epcm.; weft: (z), 10 ppcm. Camelid, cotton weft (patterning): (z-2s).
