Descriptions
Object Description Weft patterned textile fragment. Narrow stripes of alternating red and yellow or red and tan squares formed by long complementary weft floats which change faces at the color changes. Between these stripes are narrow stripes of weft-faced plainweave of dark brown camelid (z, 60 epcm.). Warps are brown cotton (z-2s, 8 epcm.). Along the warp selvage is a tubular edge, with diamond pattern woven with red and yellow camelid yarns.
