Object Description
Double cloth cotton & wool bag: brown and white; figure bearing staff: Double cloth bag with Huari design: in center, running figure w/staff in litter surmounted by double-headed ornament. Four llamas(?) support four corners of litter, 4 trophy heads hang from bottom edge. Ground: white cotton, warp: (s), 36 epcm.; weft: (s), 13 epcm. Design: dark brown camelid, warp: (z), 36 epcm.; weft: (z), 13 epcm. Two warp selvages, weft selvages covered. Back side white cotton plainweave. Around opening, 4 rows of cross-knit looping w/geometric pattern: red, green, yellow, orange, and blue or black camelid. (z-2s-2z-plied). Side seams covered w/cross-knit looping.
