Object Description
Headdress is constructed of a slit tapestry band (L 37 x w 8 cm.; 2 weft selv.) swen into a circle. Seam is at center front. A second band is attached at opposite sides of headband, possibly for chin strap. Band is slit tap. (48 x 4.5 cm.; 2 weft selv) and lined w/weft-faced plainweave band of tan cotton joinded along weft selv. Both slit tap. bands are weft striped; geometric and wave motifs; and large blocks of solid colors in gold, red, tan, brown, grey camelid (z-2s, 40 epcm.). Warps: brown cotton (z-2s; 10 epcm.). Two frontal human figs. w/ headdresses enclosed-SEE NEXT RECORD.
