Object Description
Hat, gardener. Large circular convex hat constructed out of two layers of split monocot leaves laid closely parallel to each other with the underside layer wraping around a split bamboo stem support framwork. On the underside, there is a circular donut head "cushion" made out of a bunch of stems wrapped with monocot split leaf. Two 7-ply z-twist split leaf cords are attached at both ends to the hat to form ties for securing the hat to the wearer's head. See conservation notes for additional notes.
