Object Description
Fragmentary bronze fibula of Middle La Tene character. Wire foot bends back to end in paddle shaped ornament that is riveted to the leaf-shaped bow, and is set with a knob with three bosses. The ornament, knob, and bow are decorated wtih incised geometric lines. The crossbow spring has an iron core. Found with two other similar objects (40-77-40/12490, 12491). 9.5 x 6.2 x 3.2 cm.
