Object Description Sheath knife. Small knife and sheath constructed out of wood, split plant cuticle, plant fiber cord, and steel. The wood elements are decorated on the outer surfaces with incised designs. The sheath has additional dark brown red, shiney waxy split plant cutical design elements of four horizontal bands. A coiled cord of beaten vegetable leaf fiber from a monocot plant is wrapped around the sheath with a closed loop probably for carrying. The knife has an incised wood handle and a steel blade that tapers to a curved. point. See conservation for additional description.
