Object Description
Scarf - single ply brown cotton crepey plain weave with rose-red, yellow, black wool embroidered border with cat demon motif Shawl of 1-1 plainweave brown cotton. Border (4 cm. width) around edge with repeats of oculate being with trophy heads in alternating directions; stem stitch embroidery using camelid yarns (z-2s): red ground, yellow, and dark purple figures. One warp end intact. Border continues for 14 cm. across warp selvage then stops leaving a gap of 14 cm. on border; other corner same. One warp, two weft selvages. Warp and weft: brown cotton, (s), 18 epcm.
