Object Description
Textile portion; strip (18 cm., width) of brown and white cotton 2-1 doubleweave, divided into fiber rectangular frames each with two rows of profile long-necked birds separated by a row of dots. Along each side are narrow strips (2.2 cm., width) brown cotton 2-1 plainweave. Stitches along outer edges indicate that additional 2-1 plainweaves were seamed to this one. Separately woven weft fringe of brown and white cotton stitched along warp selvage at bottom. Warp: cotton, (s-pairs), 15 ppcm. Weft: cotton, (s), 12 epcm.
