Object Description
Miniature scene of woman grinding corn. Navajo woman wears a black and white checkered cloth skirt, black velvet blouse, and beaded necklace and earrings. She is kneeling and using a stone mano and metate. On her right is a bowl containing corn kernels (partially eaten by insects). On her left is a baby in a cradle. In front of her is a glue spot containing a few pieces of ground corn. There was probably a larger pile which has been eaten by insects. The base is made of a thin particle board.
