Descriptions
Object Description Scene of Navajo woman kneeling on a sheep skin and holding a spindle with red yarn. She wears brown moccasins, turquoise skirt, red belt, purple blouse, and turquoise beaded necklace. Her hair is tied in a traditional knot. On the ground in front of her are a number of items traditional to women, including a carding pallet, comb, wedding basket, pile of wool, and six balls of colored yarn. Mounted on sandstone. Signed on the bottom "Nelson B. Watchman".
