Object Description
Miniature loom scene with Navajo woman and baby. Woman sits on sheepskin in front of loom and wears a white and pink floral skirt, red sash, olive green blouse, and beaded necklace. Baby wrapped in white cloth in cradle is propped up next to the woman. The textile consists of olive green and white vertical stripes, with horizontal rows of turquoise and brown at the end. Loom, batten, and base are of wood. Base is partially covered in white cloth. Wooden portions are crudely constructed with exposed nails and visible pencil marks. May be unfinished.
