Object Description Small rug on loom, bands of red, white, black and orange. Loom: Upper and lower yarn beams of carved branches, with cotton cords used to tie on warp. One small stick for heddle, one dowel used as shed rod. One batten stick, and one fork-shaped beater. Length: 46 cm; Width: 59.5 cm; Depth: 2.5 cm. Excellent condition. Textile: Tapestry-woven z-spun red, white, black and orange wool in following pattern: red and white vertical striped band; orange and black vertical striped band; black and white vertical striped band; red and white vertical striped band. Length: 33.3 cm; Width: 46 cm; Depth: .5 cm. Thread count: Warp -- 3 ends/cm; Weft -- 7 ends/cm. Excellent condition. Tag attached to weaving: "Southwest Indian-Crafts, Wick Miller, San Ysidro, NM"
