Object Description Written on board: "35-10 / Tibet- / Gift of Harrison Forman / The Explorers Club / New York City / A stop for tea and "Tsamba" at noon. / Tsamba is prepared by adding a handful of / roasted barley flour to a half bowl of / tea - and - butter. The flour is prepared by / popping the grains on a hot pan (like popping / corn) and then grinding the kernels to a flour. / The Tibetans drink 2 or 3 bowls of tea, to / which a chunk of Yak's butter has been added, / before the "tsamba" is prepared."
