Object Description
Early Crystal rug. [see J.B. Moore 1911 catalog]. Dark gray central field with central small red rectangle containing a black swastika figure, and four white stepped triangular figures in the four quarters of the field. The central red rectangle is outlined in black, with the black lines extending from top, bottom and sides and ending in outlining four small red triangles. A black outline element forms a square framing the central red element, and extends down and around white and black stepped triangular elements and into four large fret elements at the steps of the triangles. At top and bottom of rug, between triangles there is a vertical black line ending in black outlined red triangles and with black arrows extending out from sides of line; in sides of gray field in [see Object Description text entry for extended description]
