Object Description Large soft pair of moccasins with beaded design. One piece hide uppers vertically seamed at the heel with sinew, and with a separate leather sole. The tongue is an attached piece. The uppers have a somewhat rough texture and a slightly darkened outer surface, and the sole is slightly firmer leather, smooth and uncolored. The short ankle cuff, 3 cm high, is bound around the top edge with a 3 cm strip of lighter colored leather. A thong 45 cm long is inserted through slits in the binding at the front edge of the cuff to tie in front over the tongue. The right tongue piece is 8.5 cm long, and the left moccasin's tongue piece is 7.5 cm. They are cut rounded at the end, and are stitched to the top piece between the front edges of the cuff.
