Object Description
"Sioux Sun Dance." Drawing. Cross near painted buffalo skull; bottom left, man in "horse dance"; bottom right, man with eaglebone whistle. Sun dancers in circle with lines to pectoral muscles as attached in the ritual. Various elements derive from painted robe designs. Black, red, blue ballpoint pen ink on paper; matted and framed.
