Object Description
Escutcheon-shaped board with terrace-cut top figuring three yei biche figures carved in raised relief and painted on the front; edges perforated for hanging and threaded with a thong. In pencil on back "Yei Bechi ceremony Sand painting there are six female figures and six males. It is a 9 day cerm This ceremony can only be had after frost. It has four different Sand paintings and this is one of them. The square head is the male, and oval the female. Edmund Tracey." Different hand writing: "Edmund Tracey Carver San Ildefonso"
