Object Description
Double basket; (aka telescoping basket) for holding eagle down for ceremonial dances (Holmes). Inner basket tapers toward top so its telescoping cover can fit tightly into place. Dark fiber is maidenhair fern; false embroidered with stepped and barded motif in brown, dark brown elements on tan ground; fretted motif, pink and brown. Small loop on top; spruce root shot pouch.
