Miniature quilled birch bark basket with lid; cherry motif

Object Description
Round bent birch bark lidded basket almost completely covered with decorative porcupine quillwork. Two red cherries with green stems and leaves on lid, checkerboard design in undyed porcupine quills (white grading to brown) on sides of basket and lid. Rim of lid reinforced with bundle of sweet grass, sewn on with black cotton thread.
Dimensions: height with lid = 3.1 cm, height to rim = 2.8 cm, diameter = 5.1 cm.
