Written on board: "Anderson County, Texas. 34-119. / Mrs. J. M. Cook farm, 1 1/2 mi. S.W. of Frankston. Large pedestal vase with four legs on a ring base. Decorated with four sets of raised concentric circles. Note two handles. Found only in restricted area along Neches river -- in the Assanai regions of lower East Texas. They were probably altar pieces used in worshipping the "four winds" for which these Indians were noted. Rare type.
