Object Description Written on board: "Anderson County. Texas. 34-119. / Pierce Freeman farm, 5 mi. S. of Frankston. A crudely made vessel with shape and decoration typical of Neches River subculture. Upper portion bears four rows of gouged depressions while lower part is scratched - as with a bunch of stiff grass steps. Handles consist of two crude nodes near rim. Height 5 1/4", diameter 4 1/4"." Gift of J. E. Pearce, Chairman, Department of Anthropolgy, University of Texas.
