Object Description Written on board: "Anderson County, E. Texas. 34-119. / a) Pierce freeman farm, 5 miles S. of Frankston, Anderson County. / b) Mrs. H. L. Culpepper farm, 5 miles South of Saltillo, Hopkins county. / c) Mrs. J. M. Cook farm, 1 1/2 miles S.W. of frankston Anderson County; / Vessels a and c have the effigy figures facing toward the interior of the bowl, specimen b, broken from the rim of the vessel, likely originally faces in same manner as the other two. Note the cockscomb, handle-like knob opposite the effigy, probably a conventionalized turkey head looking towards its tail, on which as a platform the animal effigy is placed."
