Written on board: "Ohio. Algonquian, Miami. Photostat of drawing by Henry Hamilton - original in the Widener Library. Date probably from capture of Detroit, or thereabouts. -Mrs. Eug. 508.5. Pacane - Miamis Chief. The name of this Miamis Chief is Pacane, I made him a present of a silver mounted Couteau, his father of the same name having taken down a stake when he was to have been roasted. Cap. T. Morriz (?) of the 17th Reg. Infantry, an aquaintance and friend of many years' standing. --"
