Object Description
Written on board: "Michigan. / Portion of skull taken from mound near Devil River near Lake Huron Shore, Alpena County, Michigan by Rev. Dr. Pilcher. See letter of January 24, 1925. This was found with other similarly perforated skulls from Michigan, in paper by Henry Gilman reprinted from Smithsonian Report for 1875. Photo presented by W. B. Hinsdale of University of Michigan, 1925."
