Transcribed Annotations Written on mounting board: "Otomi / Mexico / E.F.C., Alberto Ventura, San Antonio Tezaquipan, Mexico, Aug. 11- '41/ Albert Ventura / Fine type of "hammer head". Note how constant carrying of heavy loads has forced the cervical vertebrae outwards. Also note straight line from tip of nose to chin -- so Indian -- minus the ins and outs of the white man's lips. Also note how this diagonal line is repeated by line at back of neck. He wears the mecapal across forehead. Drawn at Ixmiquilpan, Mexico, 1941. Otomis have been [enslaved] from earliest times. "Albert" shows it as do all Otomis."
