Written on board: Colorado / Ecuador / San Miguel / (L) On the left hand side is to be seen Fakin Sarakai, the 134 years old head-chief of the Colorados, dressed in europeans garments with shirt, trousers and hat, on the right hand side one of his sons in self-woven cloth tinted red with "achote", in the middle, Prof. Eric Graetz, the biologist of the Central University of Panama, who, in order to gain the confidence of the Colorados, has had the upper part of his body tinted in black and red and is wearing the "cotton-Crown" (the regale-sign of this tribe) on his head. / Foto taken by Dr. Juan Lestrel.
