All of them are pure stock so far as could be learned / and judged by their characteristics / These people originally come from a more Southern district, probably / the Drakensberger Cape Colony - from where they were driven by the Swage / tribe and most of them killed. / The old man and the old woman standing in the centre were in / their native state until forty years ago. They are now about / seventy or seventy five. / Photographed at Caka Rangher / first August 1971 by / Benevan Rippen David / Jan. 1918"
