Descriptions
Object Description
Boudoir card, part of "Alaska Views" series. From Bill Hom, Curator of NW Coast Indian Art, Burke Museum, U. os Washington: Both poles here are gone (rotted). Both have been reproduced, and the repro's are standing. The left one is very interesting because the native tradition is that it is a copy of a Haida Dance Staff which belonged to this family. The original Haida staff is in the Oakland Public Museum (Cal). Obtained through marriage.
