Object Description
Written on board (verso): "Description: / Dept. Anth. W.C.Ex. / Kwakiutl / Indians of Vancouver Ild. (Dance) / I have names (some sure and some tentative) for some of the people. In #755, / left to right, they are (seated) Mrs. John Drabble, the last survivor of the / group, died in the late 50's I believe. Standing with rattle, David Hunt, George / Hunt's oldest son. Seated, face just under David Hunt's arm is John Whonnock. / Standing is MÉlīd (don't know the English name), David Hunt's maternal grandfather(?) / Hamatsa is "Chicago Jim". Standing attendant is HaisᢄhaxēsaqEmē, a Koskimo. / The next two seated are brothers from Hope Island. The first was identified / as q!wĒLElas and the second as Hämasilaqͧ or "King Tom". I didn't get identifi- / cations of the others in that photo."
