Object Description
Bone pipe, copper lined. Hand-carved from the left tibia bone of a small to medium size animal, possibly deer or goat (Dr. R. Meadow, Zooarchaeologist, Peabody Museum). The pipe tapers from the bowl-end to the smaller mouth-piece-end and is decoratively carved around the mid-section. The bowl is lined with sheet copper approximately 3 cm in depth.
