Archival Scope and Content
Correspondence related to past expeditions and prepping for 1955 expedition, including with Paul Nesbitt of US Airforce Air University Library (with summary of field conditions in letter from Laurence) and with Anneliese Scherz about ownership of photographs she took. Other correspondence covers financial arrangements with Peabody Museum, anticipated “Bushman commission” report, and working with L F. Maingard. Documents of note include: film inventory list from Byron Motion Pictures Studios and Laboratory, film editing agreement with Ralph L Smith, and 1954 Report on Vernay-Trasvaal Expedition led by Charles Koch. This material was removed from accession file 58-43B.
