Archival Scope and Content Of special interest are letters to Peabody Museum Director J.O. Brew from Southwest Africa from Lorna, Laurence, and Elizabeth Marshall with discussion of kinship, social relations, Gautscha site, Robert Gardner's take on film and anthropology, and Porteus Maze and Rorschach tests. There are also letters to and from J.O. Brew regarding films, music, medicine, and plants. Additional correspondence includes a letter from Robert Gardner to Laurence, a letter to Anneliese Scherz about developing and printing photographs, and a letter permitting reproduction of expedition images on postage stamps. Also of note is the "Interim Report to the Bushman Commission...on the study of the health and nutrition of the Bushmen." This material was removed from accession file 58-43F.
