Object Description
Tapa cloth. Siapo vala.
Cloth is at least two layers of medium weight barkcloth with four raw edges and overall design. Decoration is applied by rubbing over a wooden design tablet in a pinkish/coral brown matte pigment/dye; free-hand overpainting over some of the design motifs in a medium-toned reddish-brown resinous paint.
