Object Description
Bark cloth panel. Siapo Vala. Medium-weight cloth, two to three layers with grain opposite face and rear. Overall design rubbed over carved wooden design tablet with freehand overpainting of leaf and heart motifs; three raw/natural edges and one cut edge. Design is similar to siapo collected in 1958 and featured in Neich, 1998, pg 39.
