Object Description
Poncho section of 2-1 plainweave natural cotton cloth; originally covered w/yellow, orange, blue parrot feathers. Quills bent over brown cotton yarn (z-2s), knotted by a second yarn. A third yarn knots further down feather and at the same time stitches through the ground cloth. Feathers oriented toward each end w/open section in center, indicating that piece would have gone over shoulder. Warp: natural cotton, (s-pairs), 9 ppcm. Weft: natural cotton, (s), 10 epcm.
